What are the NPEx prep exams?
The NPEx prep exams are independent digital mock tests designed to provide a structured simulation experience based on the NPE curriculum. Each exam includes 150 multiple-choice questions covering all AHPRA domains and core professional competencies for psychologists.

Will I pass the real NPE if I use NPEx?
NPEx is designed to significantly improve your familiarity with exam-style questions and strengthen your preparation. However, we do not guarantee success in the official National Psychology Exam. Your performance in the actual exam will depend on multiple factors, including preparation, knowledge, and exam-day conditions.
Can I copy or share NPEx content?
No. NPEx content is provided for personal individual use only and is non-transferable. All materials, including questions, answers, explanations, scoring systems, and reports, are protected under Australian and international intellectual property laws.
How many times can I take each NPEx prep exam?
Each NPEx prep exam can be attempted once only. Important: you will continue to have access to the NPEx Portal to review all exam content included in your package, such as questions, answers, and explanations, for the full duration of your 365-day access period. If you would like to retake the same prep exam or access additional exams with new questions, you can simply upgrade your NPEx package through our online store.
All you need is a quiet environment and a computer with a reliable internet connection. For the best experience, we strongly recommend using a desktop or laptop computer rather than a mobile phone or tablet.
The NPEx Portal is powered by FlexiQuiz, a secure third-party online assessment platform. After purchase, you will be redirected to the NPEx Portal to create your account and access your exams. As noted above, your access remains valid for 365 days from the date of purchase.
When should I take my prep exam?
You can complete your prep exams at any time within your 365-day access period from the date of purchase. We strongly encourage you to complete each NPEx prep exam in a single sitting as this helps you build stamina, concentration, and the rhythm required for real clinical decision-making under exam conditions. However, if you prefer, you may pause, save, and resume your exam on different days and times within your 365-day access period.
Will I receive a score and feedback report at the end?
Yes! After completing each prep exam, you will receive an automated performance report designed to support your learning and improvement. This includes: • Final result (pass/fail), total score, and completion time • Breakdown by domains and competency areas • Full review of all questions, including correct and incorrect responses • Detailed explanations for each question These reports are strictly for educational purposes and are designed to guide your exam preparation rather than formally assess competence.
How should I manage the time during the prep exam?
We recommend you don’t spend more than 1 minute per question. This gives you enough time to move steadily through the exam while still allowing space to return to more challenging questions. Within the NPEx platform, you can bookmark any questions you are unsure about and review them at the end before submitting your prep exam.
How long is each prep exam?
Each NPEx prep exam runs for 3h30min. Once the time is up, the exam is automatically closed. A built-in countdown timer helps you manage your pace while also training your ability to stay calm and focused under timed exam pressure.
